Free : Tons of Sobs ( UK Version )

Tons of Sobs

 is the debut album
 by English
 blues rock band
Free
 released in the UK
 on  March 14 1969.
While the album failed
 to chart in the UK,
 it did reach #197
 in the US.

Free
are cited as
one of
 the definitive bands
 of the
British blues boom
of the late 1960s
 even though this is
 the only album
 of their canon
 that can
strictly be called
blues rock.
The title of the album
 does not relate directly
 to the content
of the album;
 it is possibly
 oblique reference
 to the darker,
 more sombre moments
 of the record.

The Doors : 13 and More.....

13

is the first
compilation album
by

 The Doors

 Released on
  November 30 1970
by Elektra Records,
 it debuted at number 75
 on December 19, 1970,
 peaked at Number 25
for two weeks
 (January 2 and January 9, 1971)
and was off the charts
 after May 8.
It spent a total of 21 weeks
on the charts.

The album has never been
 issued on CD
and because,
while it was the only
 compilation released
before lead singer
Jim Morrison's death,
 it does not include songs
from L.A. Woman
released in 1971.

Alice Cooper : Nobody Likes...Alice Cooper Live

Science Fiction
 is an
 unauthorized
Live Album
release of
The Alice Cooper Band
Originally released on
 vinyl in the UK

as
 Ladies Man,
 this CD version
 was released

in 1991
 and re-issued
 in 2000.
Over the years,
this collection of songs
 has been released
 several times
by various record labels
under different titles,
using slightly different
 track titles
 and track orders.
(See the list below)

The disc is a collection
of songs recorded during
Alice Cooper's
infamous
 chicken-throwing performance
at the
Toronto
Rock and Roll Revival festival
in 1969,
and showcases
 the early psychedelic
music style
of Cooper and

The Who : Who's Next ( Deluxe Edition )

Who's Next

 is the fifth
 studio album
 by English
rock band
 The Who
It developed from
 the aborted
 Lifehouse project,
a multi-media
 rock opera
written by
 the group's
Pete Townshend
as a follow-up
to the band's
1969 album
Tommy
The project was
 cancelled due
 to its complexity
and conflicts with
 Kit Lambert,
 the band's manager,
but Townshend
was persuaded to
record the songs as
 a straightforward
studio album.

The Who
recorded
Who's Next
with assistance from
 recording engineer
 Glyn Johns.
After producing the song
 "Won't Get Fooled Again"
in the
 Rolling Stones
 Mobile Studio,
 they relocated to
 Olympic Studios
 to record and mix
 most of the album's
remaining songs.
 They made prominent use
 of the synthesizer
on the album,
particularly on
 "Won't Get Fooled Again"
and
 "Baba O'Riley",
which were both
 released as singles.
The cover photo
 was shot by
 Ethan Russell
and made reference to
 the monolith in the
 1968 film
 2001: A Space Odyssey,
 as it featured group members
 having urinated
against a concrete piling
 protruding from a slag heap.
